This often comical love story takes place during the week of April 29th and May 6th, 1992 when the L.A. Uprising was raging. Donald Bakeer's roman a clef is centered around Raheem a recently widowed devoutly Muslim school teacher who is attempting to patch his life together after his wife of 22 years dies of breast cancer leaving him with 6 very dynamic and needy children.

To complicate things he falls in love with a beautiful, voluptuous, talented vixen just as L.A. explodes with hatred for murderous cops and unscrupulous, ill mannered Korean businesses
